HGB Fiber Art Show & Sale
The Handweavers Guild of Boulder began producing an annual event in 1971 and the Show & Sale has evolved through the years into the premier fiber event it is today.
The HGB Show & Sale serves to provide several vital functions:
Outreach to the community: The Boulder County Fairgrounds is transformed into a fiber extravaganza with free admission, live demonstrations and an exhibition of work that educates and inspires the public with the breadth of fiber arts that are happening in Boulder County.
Fundraiser for the Guild: Commissioned proceeds from the Show & Sale provide a substantial contribution to the ongoing operating expenses of the Guild.
Opportunity for members to share their gifts with the public: The Show & Sale provides the public an opportunity to view, admire and purchase unique and high-quality fiber artworks and while meeting the Guild member artists.
Juried Showcase: The juried Showcase highlights the exceptional quality and fiber technique achievements of Guild members. In addition, the “People’s Choice” award allows visitors to vote for their favorite pieces and has become very popular with guests.
