Curious About Participating in the Show & Sale?

Since 1971 the Show & Sale has created a curated cooperative marketplace for Member Artists to display and sell their collective works.

Member Artist items are creatively and thoughtfully displayed in a department store like setting arranged by categories noted in the Rules & Regulations. From a single item to a large inventory, HGB provides supportive merchandising, props, and display materials.

General inventory items in the Show & Sale are not juried, yet all items must meet minimum technique, quality, and Readiness for Sale standards as contained and explained in the Rules & Regulations.

The Showcase portion of the Show & Sale includes a juried application process. The Showcase has its own distinct Call for Entry deadlines, fee and requirements.

Every inventory item, including any Showcase item, is entered in HGB’s custom Artist Data Entry Program. This is a web-based program where Artists enter information for each item, set a price, print item labels, and print a final inventory of all items entered.

Artists who participate by entering items in inventory are required to volunteer their time working shifts during the Show & Sale. The number of shifts is based on the total quantity and dollar value of the inventory items. Additionally, HGB reserves a 25% commission on all items sold at the Show & Sale.
